She was predeceased by: her husband Alvi Surakka; her son Andy Surakka; and her grandson Jeremie Fontaine. She is survived by: her children, Sirpa Voutilainen (Vesa) and Larry Surakka (Linda); her grandchildren, Shawn Surakka, Sherisse Hamby (Rob), Jenny Voutilainen, Ryan Voutilainen (Colin), Kristofer Voutilainen (Trisha), Kyle Voutilainen (Leanne), Nicholas Surakka, Ryan Surakka and Chantel Surakka; and her great grandchildren, Shyanne, Daytona Hamby, Kyden Surakka, Brynn, Koen Voutilainen, Braylon and Lincoln Voutilainen.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park (3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G3M1). A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 5th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
