He was predeceased by: his wife Janet; his parents, Clifford Meares and Dorothy "Dolly" Meares; and his brothers-in-law, Claire Bonner and Lou Knippelberg.
He is survived by: his sisters, Colleen Bonner, Patricia Ewart (Steve) and Lesley Knippelberg; his daughters, Kathleen Blackstock (Frank) and Jennifer Thornley (Andrew); and his great grandchildren, Bryson Stone and Sterling Stone. He is also survived by extended family and dear friends.
