He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Bell and Olive Bell; and his brothers, Fred Bell (Claire) and Monte Bell. He is survived by: his wife Marian Louise Bell; his children, Greg (Lu Batagglia), Matthew (Satu Bell) and Krista Kennedy (Brian); his grandsons, Julian (Leigh Dickson), James Bell (Rozie Massey), Brandon (Hayley Flinn), Andrew (Kassandra Harder), Christopher (Ailsa Berry) and Michael Kennedy (Claudia Parsons); and his cousin Nick Scharfe (Dianne). He is also survived by nephews & cousins.
