Edith Grace Dyck Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Grace Dyck of Vancouver, British Columbia, who passed away on November 17, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kineshanko and Kay Kineshanko; her husband John; her son-in-law Richard; and her sister Gladys (Gus).

She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn and Sandra; her grandchildren, Robert (Taryn) and Amanda; and also Clarence. She is also survived by many other relatives, friends.

In 2021, due to challenges from the Covid-19 pandemic that caused increased health concerns, and in order to be closer to family, she moved back to Burnaby into the Swedish Assisted Living Residence.

Particularly generous support was given to Stillwood Camp and Conference Centre near Chilliwack, B.C. John and Edith donated the Alder Cottage, built and donated the 700 seat Dyck Dining Hall, and the Carmandy Twin Lodges.
