He was predeceased by: his parents, Arend Vaandering and Hiske Vaandering (Schouwstra); his sister-in-law Dien; and his niece Natasha. He is survived by: his children, Sean, Johnathon and Maria; and his brother Dirk. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family and, friends.
