The passing of Heinrich Sawatzky (Vancouver, British Columbia) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on May 14, 2025 at the age of 89. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Sawatzky and Katherina Sawatzky (Derksen); his wife Selma Unger; and his brother Nick. He is survived by: his sons, Rob, Herb (Lorrie), Rudy (Joanne) and Heinz (Cheri); his grandchildren, Kennedy, Brooklynn (Malcom), Aleah, Colton (Amber), Avery, Aaron and Audrey; and his siblings, Anton (Anganetha), Peter (Helen), Jakob (Linda), Sister Kaethe, Elsa (Heinrich), Anna (Victor) and Helene (Anatol). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, friends and family.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Mountain View Cemetery (5455 Fraser St, Vancouver, BC V5W2Z3). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Beside John Oliver High School (5455 Fraser St, Vancouver, BC V5W2Z3).
