John MacDiarmid Hawthorne Obituary
In loving memory of John MacDiarmid Hawthorne (Vancouver, British Columbia), who departed this world on April 22, 2025 at the age of 77. John leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, John is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that John's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Hawthorne and Robert Hawthorne; and his brother Jim Hawthorne. He is survived by: his wife Wendy; and his sister Cathy Deans (Dennis). He is also survived by friends, and his cats.
A reception will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Seaforth Armoury (1650 Burrard St, Vancouver, BC V6J3G4).
