He was predeceased by: his parents, Kaname Asa and Mitsuko Asa; his son Richard; his brother John; and his former wife Jitsumi.
He is survived by: his wife Takako; his son Anthony (Cindy); his granddaughters, Brittney (Matthew) and Bridgitte; his siblings, Roy and Fumiko (Tak); and his stepsons, Kenji (Makiko) and Koji (Linda).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (3024 E 52nd Ave, Vancouver, BC V5S1T6).
