He was loved and cherished by many people including his seven children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home (3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G3M1). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G3M1).

He won more than 30 awards in Hong Kong and abroad throughout his career, and was the first local press photographer to be awarded the Badge of Honour by Queen Elizabeth in 1985 for his service and contribution to the Hong Kong media industry.
