The memory of Maria Giuseppina Barbaro (Vancouver, British Columbia), who passed away on April 29, 2026 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Gaetano; her mother Filomena; and her brother Pietro. She is survived by: her children, Teurino (Liliana) and Rosanna (Chris); her siblings, Vincenzo (Assunta), Angela (Franco) and Antonietta; and her grandchildren, Christina, Michael, Adam, Daniela and Lisa. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Corpus Christi Parish (6350 Nanaimo St, Vancouver, BC V5P4K7). An entombment will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at the Ocean View Burial Park South Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name can be made to her favourite charities, Covenant House, Canucks Place and Variety Club.
