Marija Kosovic Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marija Kosovic of Vancouver, British Columbia, who passed away on April 13, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Saban and Dragica Saban; her husband Mike Kosovic; and her son Tony Kosovic (Tony). She is survived by: her daughter Katherine Newcombe; her grandchildren, Kevin Crossley and Kristine Wallin (Shay); her daughter-in-law Shelley Kosovic; her grandchildren, Catherine Kosovic, Michael Kosovic, Jennifer Kosovic Haivarlis (Greg) and Nicole Mustedanagić (Haris); and her sister Gina Simpson. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and surrogate grandchildren from close family and friends that did not have the privilege of knowing their own grandparents.

Or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Mary to the Heart & Stoke foundation. Mary also loved all animals, especially her cats Dilly and Purdy who kept her company after Mike's passing, and donations can also be made to the BC SPCA.
