He was predeceased by: his parents, Blaz Hecimovic and Manda Hecimovic (Beba). He is survived by: his wife Danica Hecimovic; his children, Zoran, Marko (Laura), Jadranka and Katica (Damiano); his grandchildren, Michael, Olivia, Deanna, Natalia, Christian, Damiano, Jade, Brooklynn, Sloan, Hunter, Bronx, Daniela and Vanessa; and his siblings, Ankica and George.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ocean View Funeral Home (4000 Imperial St, Burnaby, BC V5J1A4). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Parish (3105 E 1st Ave, Vancouver, BC V5M1B5). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ocean View Funeral Home & Burial Park (4000 Imperial St, Burnaby, BC V5J1A4).
