He was predeceased by: his parents, Angel Buen and Antonia Alvarez; and his wife Beatriz Valer. He is survived by: his sons, Richard and Ronald; and his siblings, Mario and Susan.
A prayer will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Parish (2881 Main St, Vancouver, BC V5T3G1). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G4A9).
