He is survived by: his spouse Rosa Apperley; his sons, Scott (Krista) and Michael (Kyla); his grandchildren, Nicklas, Luca and Taylor; and his sisters, Yvonne and Arlene. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can made be to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.
