Ying Kan Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 2, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Ying Kan in Vancouver, British Columbia. Family and friends can send flowers and/or light a candle as a loving gesture for their loved one. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughter Mei-Ching Chan (Paul); her granddaughters, Carole Chan and Connie Chan (Herb); her great grandchildren, Alexander, Adele Chan, Madeline, Emile and Frederique Lambert; her father Ku-Pao Jan; her siblings, Chang-Chi Jan and Fumi Lin (Fang-Liang Kan); her grandson-in-law Nicolas Lambert; her spouse Fang-Liang Kan; her mother Ying; and her caregivers, Susan Wu, Ellen Wu and Miao-Ping Hsieh. She was also cherished by friends, notably from her mother and her father-in-law.

Ying maintained a high level of autonomy even during the Covid pandemic thanks to dedicated caregivers Susan Wu, Ellen Wu, and Miao-Ping Hsieh.
