With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Derek Schick of Vernon, British Columbia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Derek left this world on May 1, 2024, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Elmer Schick, Martha Schick (Berner), Joseph Broda and Theresa Broda (Ludwar); his aunt Tammy Broda; and his pets, Lexi and Maverick.

He is survived by : his parents, Garth Schick and Karen Schick (Broda); his siblings, Jeremy and Kayla; and his nephews, Braxton, Connor and Kason. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to an animal rescue of your choice, a cause he felt strongly about.
