He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxine Whiting (Unger) and Richard Best Whiting; and his brother Robert Whiting (Rose). He is survived by: his wife Darlene Whiting (Sheardown); his children, Jennifer (Steve), Andrew, Christopher (Jessica), Alexis (Ryan) and Kaitlyn (Shane); his grandchildren, Aimee Mitchel, Tala, Malie, Hunter, Nathan, Max, Benjamin, Amellia, Solomon and Nora; his sister Judy; his former wife Barbara Whiting (Byrne); and also, Jennifer, Andrew and Christopher. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Pleasant Valley Funeral Home (4303 Pleasant Valley Rd, Vernon, BC V1T 4M4).
