Lorraine Doris Johnson-Brotsky Obituary

It is with heartfelt sadness we announce that Lorraine Doris Johnson Brotsky passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home in Vernon on October 20th, 2022 with husband Dave at her side.
Lorraine was born and grew up in Vancouver. Her family shared many happy trips on their powerboat, Marquita, travelling up the BC coast. They were active members at Ryerson United Church, where as a teen Lorraine was a member of CGIT. In her young adult years Lorraine shared Greg’s love of Camp Fircom, spending summers at the Gambier Island camp lifeguarding and leading the arts and crafts program.
She attended Magee Secondary School in Kerrisdale (1969-73), and then went on to study at Douglas College in Surrey (1973-75), where she developed the artistic skills in clothing design, work with textiles, and interest in colour, passions which continued throughout her life.
Lorraine is mourned by her close family, husband Dave, mother Doris of 100 years presently residing at Cavell Gardens in Vancouver, brother Greg (Michelle) and two daughters, step-daughters Tressa and Amie and their families, as well as her extended family in BC, Alberta, and Ontario.
She will be greatly missed by so many.
