We announce the death of Maureen McGrath of Vernon, British Columbia, who passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 93. Maureen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Maureen will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Maureen will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Maureen’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Coffey and Kathleen Coffey; her husband Edward Patrick McGrath; and her brother Michael Coffey. She is survived by: her daughters, Ann Locke (McGrath) and Linda McGrath; her grandchildren, Anthony, Maureen and Melanie; and her sisters, Muriel and Betty.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:15 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (2607 27 St, Vernon, BC V1T4W1).
