It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Avenel (Harris) P. I. Jones of Victoria, British Columbia, born in Ottawa, Ontario, who passed away on June 19, 2021, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Amy Harris (Scott) and Col. John James Harris (Jack); her husband Alvin Burns Jones; and her sisters, Effie (Edward Lawrence), Edna (Alex James), Grace (Edgar Sibbitt), Marjory (Jack Hollebone), Eileen (Pierre Wolfe), Betty (John Kirby) and Joan (Rex Carr).
She is survived by: her daughters, Heather, Eileen (Efstratios Zouros) and Lynda (Guy Charron); her grandchildren, Nikki Partridge, Jean-Guy Charron (Jenny), Christopher Charron (Amy) and Sean Charron (Jayne); and her great grandchildren, Kody, Quintin, Ayden, Tristan, Bryant and Mason Charron. She is also survived by nieces and nephews across Canada, and extended family.
There will be no service at this time due to Covid restrictions and the difficulty for family and friends to travel to such an event.
