She was predeceased by : her husband Alfred; her parents, John Slade and Vera Slade; her brothers, Murdock Slade (Bernice) and Hubert Slade (Ada); and her brother-in-law William Snow (Louise).

She is survived by : her son Byron (Alison); her grandchildren, Caleb and Kyra; her siblings, Harold Slade (Joyce), Erwin Slade (Brenda) and Sandra Ralph (Charlie); and her sister-in-law Audrey Curnew (late Allan). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM, on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Noel's Funeral Home (106 Water St, Carbonear, NL A1Y1A9). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Bethel Pentecostal Church.
