It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bill Shorten in Victoria, British Columbia, who passed away on April 27, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bill Shorten to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Barnabas Shorten and Elizabeth Shorten; and his brother Jack (Phyllis Hugill). He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Jenken (Jeff) and Shannon Shorten (Brad); his grandchildren, Curtis, Colin, Grace, Jack and Harrison; his former wife Carrie Shorten; and his sisters, Lillian (late Bill), Evie (late Stuart) and Violet (Christy). He is also survived by His daughters and grandchildren.
Donations in Bill's memory can be made to Parkwood Hospital care of St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation (https://www.sjhc.london.on.ca), an organization close to his heart during his time serving on the board of directors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you take a loved one to Tim Hortons for a treat in Bill's honour.
