He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Samways and Flora Samways; and his siblings, Gord, Dorothy Brayley (Harold) and Fred.
He is survived by: his siblings, Shirley Van (Kevin) of Byl, Glen Samways and Rosie Blakely (Bob); and his sisters-in-law, Sue Samways and Brenda Samways. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home (845 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, ON N4S8Z4). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
