She is survived by: her sons, Daniel Cooper, Philippe Cooper, Bernard Cooper and Paul Cooper; and her grandchildren, Benjamin Cooper, Jessica Cooper, Colette Cooper, Matthew Cooper and Liam Cooper-Brown.

In the last few years, Claire withdrew from many social engagements due to the relentless advance of Alzheimer's disease.
