He was predeceased by: his brothers, Neil Downey (Angela) and Stanford Downey (Patricia); his parents, Edna Downey and Murray Downey; and his brothers-in-law, Ken Westerlund and Bruce Rushton.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Deborah Wiebe (Mike Wiebe) and David Downey (Shelley Gaudet); his grandchildren, Matthew, Madison (Alex), Timothy (Lauren) and Lauryn Wiebe; and his siblings, Raymur Downey (Viola), Lois Westerlund, Luci Rushton and Glenni Tweedle (Dean).
