We are sad to announce that, on July 23, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Derek Steven Hofteig of Victoria, British Columbia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Donald Steven Hofteig; his grandparents, Ferdinand, Erica Hofteig, Gisela Beckmann and Ruth Liedtke (Oncle Karlheinz Kirch); and his uncle Frank Liedtke.

He is survived by: his mother Karin Hofteig of Quesnel, BC; his grandfather Joe Liedtke of Dryden; and his aunts and uncles, Dorely Kirch, Karen Clement (Darryl), Rob Hofteig (Marina), Manfred Liedtke (Deb), Maureen Frank and Caroline Liedtke (Michel Morin). He is also survived by numerous cousins and extended family.

Memorial donations in Derek's honour can be made to the Heart and stroke foundation.
