She was predeceased by: her parents, Fraser Anderson and Caroline Anderson; and her siblings, Ted and Leigh. She is survived by: her son Joel Whitaker (Laura); her sister-in-law Megumi "Amy" Anderson; her niece Kanami Anderson (Andrew); her sister-in-law Donna Anderson; and her nephew Trevor Anderson (Ellen).
