As we bid Helen farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Helen is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Tait and Lillias Wade; and her brother John Tait. She is survived by: her sons, Nick Fruci (Shawna) and Michael Fruci (Anthony); her niece Jennifer Yanow (Tyler); and her sister Julie Tait. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Helen was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer in 2020 at the start of the pandemic—an especially difficult time to receive such news, as public health restrictions limited connection during one of the hardest periods of her life.
