Whitney; his sister Margaret Hansen (Marge); his stepchildren, Herbert Whitney Jr. (Marie), Carolyn Whitney-Brown (Geoffrey) and David Carter-Whitney (Maureen); his grandchildren, Janet Burlacu (Vicentiu), Monica Whitney-Brown (Jordan), David Whitney-Brown (Victoria), Ben Carter-Whitney (Alison), Liam Carter-Whitney (Ida), Bridget Carter-Whitney (Sandy), Chris Coltman-Whitney and Alex Coltman-Whitney; and his great grandchild Zélie Burlacu. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
