He was predeceased by: his parents, Olive Kelly (McDonnell) and Marvin Kelly; and his siblings, Ken (Carol), Ted and Kathleen (Bob).

He is survived by: his children, Kevin, Mark and Danielle (Mark); his girlfriend Carol Cochrane; his grandchildren, Deryl Kaitlyn (Tara), Jason, Jennifer (Matt), Lindsay (Chris), Spencer (Alison) and Tanner (Crystal); his great grandchildren, Jack, Dax, Ellie, Peyton and Bohdi; and his siblings, Helen (Wally), Liz (Carl), Joan (late John), MaryLee (Bob) and Junior (Cathy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
