He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Klein and Wanda Klein; his siblings, Günther, Erika, Lisa and Brigitte; and his stepdaughter Patricia Reid.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline (Esopenko); his stepchildren, Linda Allan, Larry Lopatka (Edith), Daniel Lopatka (Saowanee), James Alexander and Lorne Lopatka (Loretta); and his nephews, Rudy Witt and Bernie Witt. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid Restrictions, a Memorial Service by invitation only will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel – Victoria on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm. with Pastor Gwen Lam, officiating.
