Joan Kowalewich Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Kowalewich (Victoria, British Columbia), who passed away on June 18, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Joan leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Chitrenky and Alice Chitrenky (Bill). She is survived by: her children, Bryan (Cora), Michael (Nataliya), Elena, Baba, Sasha, Carter and Brody; and her siblings, Bob Chitrenky (Margot) and Leona Levchuk (Larry).
