John Joseph Philion Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Joseph Philion (Victoria, British Columbia), who passed away on May 12, 2026, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though John Joseph has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He is survived by: his wife Eleonora; his daughters, Monique Cornish and Melissa Running; his son-in-law Greg Running; his grandchildren, Aidan Cornish, Griffin Cornish, Sydney Running and Jayme Running; his brother Richard (Carol); and his sisters-in-law, Rosemary and Carla (Pentti). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 7th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Friends and Fellow Club.
