It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Lorraine Watson (Victoria, British Columbia), who passed away on April 30, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Wanda Watson; her nephew Shay Fries; and her parents, Lyle Greenwood (Shirley) and Eleanor Wetheralt (Jim). She is survived by: her daughter Vicki Watson (Douglas Long); and her siblings, Gloria Blades, Gail Fries (Albert), Gary Greenwood (Dawn) and Wayne Greenwood (Bev). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her many friends.

“A very kind lady and one of least judgemental people I know. Its odd because I thought of her after moving back to island after being away for several years. I often wondered how she was and would have liked to connect with her one last time. She knew me and my mother. My own mother passed in 2023. RIP joyce. It was a pleasure to have known you.”
