It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kai Woon Phillip Soo of Victoria, British Columbia, who passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Kai Woon Phillip may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hei Jay and Churk Yew Soo; his children, Rosilyn, Sally and Michael; and his spouse Chui Kay. He was also cherished by his wife, daughters, nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins, and a great-great-nephew.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sands Funeral Chapel (1803 Quadra St, Victoria, BC V8T4B8). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 2:45 PM to 4:00 PM at the Royal Oak Burial Park (4673 Falaise Dr, Victoria, BC V8Z7J1).
