It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Lurdes Almeida of Victoria, British Columbia, who passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Paul; her parents, Maria and Conceicao; and her siblings, Adriana, Margarida and Rosario.
She is survived by: her children, Mark (Alynn), Lisa (Sean) and Aaron (Karissa); her grandchildren, Aidyn, Harrison, Avalon, Lola, Mia and Mateo; and her siblings, Manuel, Jose Carlos, Joao, Alfredo, Sara and Mario Jorge.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens (4665 Falaise Dr, Victoria, BC V8Y1B4). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at the Royal Oak Burial Park (4673 Falaise Dr, Victoria, BC V8Y1B4).
