Though Mel may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mel touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his wife Carmela; his children, Dean, Linda (Buchanan), Cindy (Bolton-Smith), Shelley and Randy; and his stepson Michael Costigan. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Santa's Anonymous, one of Mel's favourite charities, of which he founded, or to your personal charity of choice.
