He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton MacAlpine and Dorothy MacAlpine; his sister Anne MacAlpine; and his granddaughter Cheryl McCormack. He is survived by: his wife Merlyn; his children, Karen (Lon Fraser), Cathy (Shawn McCormack) and Doug MacAlpine (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Brad Fraser (Shar), Keith Fraser, Shannon Cavanagh (Greg), Dan MacAlpine (Becca), Leanne Swaan (Jason) and Shawna McCormack.
