He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his children, Dayna (Brad) and Derek (Tracy); his grandchildren, Madelyn and Owen; his sisters, Judy Poilievre and Ruth Turner (Jim); his sisters-in-law, Valda Clarke (Marvin) and Lynn Gourlay; his aunt Olive Randall; his siblings' children, Debbie Poilievre, Diane Mahon (Tom), Melissa Turner and David Poilievre (Yanny); and his parents, William Solmie and Henrietta Solmie.
