Lanny Pollet lit a candle

“In loving memory of Paul Alan Pearson, Paul was a successful band teacher, German teacher, church organist, and fellow flute player. Here in retirement, he played in community orchestras such as the Hampton Concert Orchestra. He loved music and anything to do with flute, especially wood flutes. He was a lunch buddy in a group of retired flutists and other musicians...and my good friend.”

Jolene Segel wrote a sympathy message

“Jan. 2, 2020 - I am stunned - I had no idea Paul had passed. Paul and I taught high school together at Sunset High School in Beaverton, Oregon. We were new teachers and loved our work and just had so much fun. The school was a brand new high school so they could only afford to hire inexperienced teachers - we all were young and full of it - what joyful times we had. Paul never failed to visit when he returned to the states - I will miss him and his joyful stories so very much.”

Deloris Smrstick wrote a sympathy message

“To JoAnn and Janis’ family’s my name is Deloris Spresser Smrstick. I graduated with Paul and a good friend. We just heard he passed. My brother in law hadn’t heard from him so he checked that city and found out. Was it his heart that took him? In our senior year we walked uptown every noon. We had some fun times. Will have good memories of Paul. God Bless you all”

Geri Stroud wrote a sympathy message

“Paul was my first cousin. We had not seen each other since our grandma cotone died, when he was 19 and i was 14. He called me one night about 15 yrs ago, out of the blue, and invited me to come for a visit. We have been "buddies" ever since. He was in my email every month, and we exchanged visits a couple of times. Paul was a musical genius, and very humble about his talents. I enjoyed my friendship with him tremendously, and i shall miss him. I am very saddened by his death. Cousin geri”
