He is survived by: his mother Yvonne Smallwood; his wife Stacie Louttit; his son Dylan; his sisters, Laura Smallwood (Jackie Anderson) and Lynn Smallwood; and his nephews, Brys Stafford and Evan Stafford (Kassandra). He is also survived by children; and three grandnieces.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rhys's memory to the BC Cancer Foundation in support of lymphoma research.
