It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Hellard in Victoria, British Columbia, who passed away on February 25, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Ralph; his siblings, Viola, Irv, Marjory, Frank and Eileen; and his parents, Walter and Bertha.

He is survived by: his wife Kaija; his daughter Susan (Douglas); his grandchildren, Christine, Bryan, Emily and Michelle; and his daughter-in-law Jane.

In 2013 he received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal for his contributions to our country.
