Though Sigurd has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Peterson and Josephine Peterson; and his grandson Tyler. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Rathlef of Nanaimo; and his children, Alan (Lori), Donald (Deborah), Brian (Audrey) and Alison (Joe). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
