As Val departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Val. Though Val may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie and Clarence; her son Samuel; her husband Garth Gislason; and her son-in-law Manny.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joanna (Dirk) and Thora; her grandsons, Matthew (Kiara) and Jamie (Tetiana); and her great grandchild Kaiden (Scottish). She is also survived by cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in her name are asked to consider the Furbearers Association or the Ancient Rainforest Alliance.
