He is survived by: his daughter Ellen Kowalski; his granddaughter Erin Hickman; his sisters-in-law, Jeannine Belrose, Leonore Scheck and Yvonne Non; his siblings, Tony, Frank, Billy and Marie Kowalski; Willhen, Adrienne Whitney and Robert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
