He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil and Ann; his brother Doug; his sister-in-law Marie; and his father-in-law Russ Young.

He is survived by: his wife Carol; his son Jordy; his sister Dianne Smithson (Bernie); his mother-in-law Jean Young; and his brother-in-law Russ Young. He is also survived by one niece and two nephews.
