It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald Friesen (Altona, Manitoba), who passed away on October 31, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Donald Friesen to show support.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Dave Friesen and Katherine "Toots" Friesen. He is survived by : his wife Helen; his children, Jeri (Wendy) and Jodi (Jim); his grandchildren, Terri (Dylan), Jason (Jessica), Daina (Dan), Lonnie, Carli and Morgan; his great grandchild Daisy; and his granddaughter Ana.

When Helen's health began declining due to Alzheimer's disease in her 80s, roles suddenly reversed and Don became the steadying presence in her life.
