He is survived by: his wife Tina; his children, Gertrude Friesen (Jake), Dave Martens (Val), Henry Martens (Jeannine), John Martens (Geraldine), William Martens (Michelle), Jacob Martens (MaryJane), Peter Martens (Shirley), Dan Martens, Margaret Friesen (Carl), George Martens (Mary), Dora Friesen (Martin), Phil Martens (Lena) and Lisa Metzler (Jonny); his daughter-in-law Christine Martens; his sister Mary; and his in-laws, Tina Penner, Trudy Penner (Henry), Henry, Mary Wieler, Dave, Margaret Penner and Jake Elias. He is also survived by 81 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren.
