She was predeceased by: her husband Barney Hjorleifson; her grandson Terry; and her parents, Helgi and Herdise. She is survived by: her daughters, Gloria Johnson (Ernie), Darlene King (Bob), Linda Proulx (Ron), Brenda Schafer (Harry), Kathy Hjorleifson and Lorraine Zabirka. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers if one so desires, donations to the Arborg PCH - Activity Director-in care of Karen.
