He was predeceased by: his parents, Yojiro and Take; his brother Riichi; his sister-in-law Reiko; and his niece Eileen Koizumi Swanson.
He is survived by: his brother Bob; and his sister-in-law Emiko. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and longtime friends.
